The Faithful Dog Trainer, based in Wigan, is dedicated to providing expert dog training services. Kate Gallagher, the founder, has over 15 years of experience in dog training and has completed numerous courses, including the DTC certified dog trainer course, dog law, and first aid.

Kate's passion for dogs and her commitment to force-free training methods ensure that both dogs and their owners receive the best possible care and education.

Our mission is to help build happy, comfortable dogs free from harm and educated handlers who listen to their dogs' communication. We cover Wigan and surrounding areas, including Billinge, Bryn, Ashton in Makerfield, Orrell, and Skelmersdale.

Can children attend the class?

Although we encourage the whole family to get involved in their dog's training, we ask that children under the age of 10 do not attend the classes.

What equipment should someone bring to a class with them?

Your Dog! Treats, Settle mat, blanket or flat bed, Toy, Water and bowl.

What happens on the day of the first 1:1 session?

Our experienced dog trainer will evaluate your dog's behaviour, discuss any specific concerns, and customise a training plan tailored to your dog's needs.

How do you track and communicate a dog's progress to the owner?

You will receive constant feedback throughout training sessions and each week the plans are adapted based on the progress we are making.

How do you customise training plans for individual dogs?

At the consultation, we will discuss what behaviours you need training for and all training plans will be tailored around this discussion. What items do you have available for clients to buy from you? We carry a selection of treat packs, long lines, and settle mats.
